W32/Mdropper.P is a trojan. The trojan will infect Windows systems.

The trojan will arrive as an email attachment with .doc extension.

Upon execution of the email attachment, this trojan exploits vulnerability in Microsoft word as explained in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS06-027 to drop and execute an embedded executable file.

Upon successful exploitation of the said vulnerability, it will drop and execute [random chracters].exe file in Windows Temp folder.

This trojan first appeared on August 30, 2006.
