ScooterInformation about the Scooter:Scooter is a rapidly spreading email worm found under Windows 95, Windows98, WindowsNT based systems.This worm would work successfully if windows scripting host is enabled. This worm spreads through MS Outlook and MIRC chat network. The infected mail would bear the subject :Faster.. harder.. your PC will run like a scooter! and will not have any contents. The infected mail attachment has randomly generated file name. Opening the attachment launches the worm. The worm drops a file Scooter.MP3 file under Windows\System folder. It also creates Scooter.SYS with the above subjectline. It also sends mail to the recipents found in the address book of MSOutlook. The infected file is attached to every outbound mail. Scooter.MP3 will be played if a compataible MP3 player is intsalled. It overwrite the Script.ini under the MIRC folder to start its spreading payload throught active MIRC sessions.
