VBSWG.Z is an encrypted email worm. VBS/VBSWG.Z will infect Windows 98 and Windows 2000 systems. Windows 95 and Windows NT users also can be affected if the Visual Basic scripting is enabled. This worm spreads through MS Outlook. This worm is similar to VBS/VBS.X worm.

The worm comes through an email attachment with the message having the title:

Mawanella

and the body of the mail will be:

Mawanella is one of the Sri Lanka's Muslim Village

The infected mail carries an attachment called Mawanella.vbs. When the attachment is executed, it copies itself to WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. After this the worm mails itself as an attachment to all addresses found under MSOutlook address book. Later on it displays a message box, having text Please Forward this to everyone. The worm then displays the following window:
